Donor Embryos
The option of donor embryos is best for couples who have inadequate eggs and sperm, or for couples who wish to 'adopt' an embryo. We do not have a local embryo bank at FINA because we believe that the inherent risks of accidental incest may become too great as siblings are anonymously living in the same community, creating medical risks for such a couple's offspring. Rather we use the National Embryo Donation Center. This is an organization in Knoxville, TN who has a bank of embryos from around the world. Dr. Davenport will help you decide if this is the right step for you as a couple.
